Triphala, celebrated in Ayurvedic literature for its esteemed longevity and rejuvenating qualities, presents obstacles in DNA-based authentication due to its significant polyphenolic content. Employing ITS2 metabarcoding in both Triphala mock control and commercially available formulations, our objective is to identify both targeted and untargeted species. This study aims to provide insights into a holistic approach to quality control of Triphala powder.
