The data in this experiment come from the high-temperature oxidation of olivine under CO2. In the experiment, olivine with different iron contents (Fa09, Fa29, Fa71) was used for high-temperature oxidation experiments. Fa09 is natural olivine, while Fa29 and Fa71 are synthetic olivine (Fa# = Femol / (Femol + Mgmol) × 100). CO2 was chosen as the oxidizing gas simulating Venus's atmosphere, with environmental temperatures controlled at 470°C (simulating Venus's average surface temperature) and 900°C (simulating Venus's lava flow temperature). The experiment aimed to explore the influence of high-temperature oxidation of olivine with different iron contents under Venus's CO2 atmosphere on oxidation products, rates, and spectral characteristics. The general procedure of the experiment was to place olivine powder in a CO2 atmosphere at 470°C or 900°C, controlling the reaction time from 1 hour to 24 days, depending on the reaction temperature. The reacted samples were analyzed with XRD, Mössbauer spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and visible-near-infrared spectroscopy, obtaining the characteristics of oxidation products, oxidation rates, and infrared spectral features of different olivines and temperatures. This dataset includes XRD (33), Mössbauer spectra (8), Raman spectra (34), and visible-near-infrared spectra (33) data of 33 samples (including 3 initial samples and 30 experimental samples).
