NRS-12517 | "News Digest"

The News Digest was established in 1976 as a service to senior departmental officers to provide information on the activities and achievements of the Public Works Department by summarising recent publicity. It consisted of articles and items selected from newspapers throughout the State with what appears to be a particular attention to the local and regional press. These were photocopied, stapled together and distributed to senior officers to provide an overall picture of the Department's work and the presentation of it to the public. Initially the News Digest was distributed twice monthly, but by 1985 it was issued only on a quarterly basis.
