Australasian Society for Immunology Inc. Guide to Records

The Australasian Society for Immunology Inc. Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of the Australasian Society for Immunology, a society formed to encourage and support clinical and experimental, cellular and molecular immunology in the Australasian region. Amongst the collection are programmes, abstracts and other documents from Annual Scientific Meetings and Annual General Meetings, as well as newsletters, and membership lists of the Australasian Society for Immunology Inc. and its predecessors. The collection documented by the Guide consists of 323 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into 13 series. The total collection occupies 383 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent).

The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre c2000. An updated version was published online by the eScholarship Research Centre in September 2009. Work on the collection was begun by the Australian Science Archives Project in the 1990s.

The records are held by the State Library of Victoria (MS 13662). The collection was listed by Gavan McCarthy, Harry Ward, Lisa Cianci, Helen Morgan, Michael Jones and Ann McCarthy.
