Prevalence and severity of respiratory syncytial virus infections in children in Central African Republic, 2015 to 2018. RSV in Central African Republic

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is one of the main viral pathogens causing acute respiratory infections in children under 5 years of age, but has seldom been studied in Central African Republic (CAF). This study investigates seasonality of RSV infections in CAF, disease severity and phylogenetic diversity of RSV strains circulating in the country between 2015 and 2018.
