This data provides information on emissions generated from agrifood systems. The domain provides data on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from agrifood systems, computed using IPCC Tier 1 methods. It covers emissions from farm gate activities, land use change, and pre- and post-production food processes, including methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), and fluorinated gases (F-gases). Data is available by country, with global coverage for 1961–2020 and projections for 2030 and 2050 for some categories. Estimates are in kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent, using IPCC AR5 global warming potentials. The domain also includes emissions from international aviation and shipping and reports emissions submitted by countries to the UNFCCC.
