RNA seq analysis of PSA Resistance in Actinidia Genotypes

Two genotypes from different species, A. chinensis var. chinensis (susceptible) and A. arguta (potentially resistant), were inoculated with PSA. Canes collected in winter 2023 were kept under controlled conditions for six weeks post-inoculation. RNA was extracted from infected plant material for RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), enabling differential gene expression analysis. The study aimed to identify genes differentially expressed in response to PSA infection, shedding light on the molecular mechanisms of resistance and susceptibility.
