资源简介:
This dataset compiles the data used in the paper "Evidence that Pacific tuna mercury levels are driven by marine methylmercury production and anthropogenic inputs”. It allowed mapping mercury concentrations in skipjack tuna across the Pacific Ocean, and exploring the relative contribution of anthropogenic, ecological, and biogeochemical factors driving these concentrations. It is made of 661 rows, corresponding to skipjack samples, and 21 columns presenting samples’ ID, owner and institution, reference paper, scientific name, sampling date, region and coordinates, individual fork length, individual total mercury concentration, and a combination of biogeochemical and physical model outputs. Sample collection, analytical methods, and models used are presented in the corresponding paper.
