资源简介:
In this paper, I address the puzzle of the weakness of will by defending a dual process model with a parallel-competitive architecture, based on the idea that stimulus-driven and goal-directed processes can both be automatic. According to this model, goal-directed processes are the main mechanism for both optimal and suboptimal behavior, including weak-willed behavior. Preparation of this paper was supported by Research Program G073317N of the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) and Grant C14/17/047 of the Research Fund of KU Leuven. reviewed publishedVersion
