Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1972

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1972 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1972. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. This data material contains information from all the omnibuses concerning the questions common to them. # #The questions common to all 1972 omnibuses are: degree of urbanization; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in household (children/adults, over/under 15); occupational status of head of household; total income of family; the respondent's occupational status; the respondent's educational status; the respondent's income; position in household of respondent and spouse; occupational status of housewife; social class; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Omnibus no. 01 (DDA-1326): #Attitudes to drunken driving; the penalty for drunken driving (prison/fines/loss of licence); fixed alcohol limits; the performance of the Government; attitudes to development aid (the 1% target); important political problems which must be solved (housing/economy/pollution/traffic/social welfare/health service/development aid); attitudes to Danish membership of the EC (also if Norway does not join the EC); attitudes to sex instruction in schools; attitudes to Danish membership of NATO; the influence of Danish membership of the EC on economy, social conditions, political independence, the number of guest workers in Denmark, foreign capital, foreign purchasing of Danish property and land; and assessment of the TV serials 'McCloud', 'De uheldige helte' (The Persuaders) and 'Dan August'. # #Omnibus no. 02 (DDA-1327): #Car(s) in household; seat belts; sports and membership of sports club; physical exercise; Danish membership of the EC (provided that Norway joins the EC simultaneously); attitudes to the EC referendum; the influence of Danish membership of the EC on economy, social conditions, political independence, the number of guest workers in Denmark, foreign capital, foreign purchasing of Danish property and land; advice given by the respondent on family or personal matters; the attitudes of TV correspondents and newsreaders to the EC; and knowledge of the EC. # #Omnibus no. 03 (DDA-1328): #Danish membership of the EC (provided that Norway joins the EC simultaneously); attitudes to the EC referendum; knowledge of the EC; Sweden and the EC; carnivals; children and Danish Shrovetide customs and celebrations; assessment of the efficiency of private versus public enterprises; attitudes to the USA's involvement in Vietnam, and the future of Vietnam; household investments; attitudes to drunken driving; fixed alcohol limits; and the penalty for drunken driving (prison/fines/loss of licence). # #Omnibus no. 04 (DDA-1329): #Development aid (the 1% target);
