CHIOS WEATHER JANUARY 2024

These data collected from the weather station located in "Chiostown" and includes various parameters such as temperature, rainfall, wind speed, and wind direction.

The purpose of sharing this data is to support the MUSICA project, aimed at observing climate changes after the installation of the platform. The initial measurements presented here cover the period from January 1st, 2024, up to the installation of the platform, and we will continue updating the data with new measurements as the project progresses.

The file includes:

Date and time of recording: For accurate time tracking of the data.

Temperature: Daily average, maximum, and minimum temperatures in degrees Celsius (°C).

Rainfall: Daily rainfall in millimeters (mm).

Wind speed: Average and maximum daily wind speed in kilometers per hour (km/h).

Wind direction: The prevailing wind direction of the day.

Data Usage

The data is free to use. Users are welcome to download, analyze, and utilize the data for personal, educational, or research purposes, as well as for developing applications and tools that contribute to understanding and addressing weather and climate phenomena.

Data Examples

January 1st, 2024: The average temperature was 15.2°C, the maximum temperature was 18.3°C at 14:50, and the minimum temperature was 11.7°C at 21:30. There was no recorded rainfall, and the average wind speed was 4.7 km/h with a maximum speed of 22.5 km/h from the southwest (SW).

January 9th, 2024: The highest recorded rainfall of the month occurred, with 20.4 mm, and the maximum wind speed was 56.3 km/h at 23:50 from the southwest (sw).
