资源简介:
The swede midge is a common pest of cruciferous oilseed and vegetable crops in Europe and eastern North America. It was first discovered in Canada in 2000, and has quickly spread across eastern Canada and the United States, and has the potential to establish in all crucifer-growing regions of North America. The annotated genome sequence will dramatically improve our understanding of the biology of these insects, including the development of better control strategies, understanding of population composition and range expansion, and many other molecular applications. Additionally, as very few midges have an annotated genome sequence, this genome may be used for studies of many related species.
