Effect of HectD3 overexpression on gene expression in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes

The present study focuses on the identification of the gene expression profile of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRVCMs) after overexpressing HectD3, an E3 ligase, through Illumina RNA-sequencing. Illumina RNA-sequencing and subsequent bioinformatics analysis was performed commercially from Arraystar Inc. (Rockville, USA) on Illumina Hiseq 4000 platform. Briefly, mRNA expression profile was determined using RNA isolated from either control (LacZ overexpressing) or HectD3 overexpressing cardiomyocytes for 72 h using Illumina Hiseq 4000 platform. Each study group consisted four biological replicates. The generated RNA-seq data was exploited bioinformatically to compare mRNA profiles of individual samples as well as grouped samples to identify significantly deregulated candidates.
