Hybridization capture sequencing data

The data were generated as part of a methodological comparison of nine different taxonomic classes (Demospongiae, Gastropoda, Polychaeta, Malacostraca, Insecta, Actinopterygii, Chondrichthyes, Amphibia, and Reptilia). An attempt was made to obtain the desired genetic target region from all 37 samples using hybridization capture with an RNA bait set. The samples are up to 200-year-old museum samples, some of which were fixed in formalin. The DNA was according to Dabney et al. (2013) using a GuSCN based extraction buffer (Rohland et al. 2004) and treatments as in Straube, Lyra et al. (2021) and a DNA library according to Gansauge et al. (2017) created. The libraries were mainly built according to the protocol of Huang et al. Captured in 2021 and then sequenced on an Illumina Nextseq 500 sequencing platform, using 500/550 High Output v2.5 (75 cycles, Illumina 20024906) kits (75 bp single-end reads).
