资源简介:
This is the third report in the Danish Epilepsy Association''s study of the living conditions of epileptics in Denmark. This is the first, comparative, scientific research on the living conditions of young epileptics between the ages of 18 and 30. The report focuses on the challenges which many young epileptics face. The living conditions of the young epileptics'' parents have also been examined in this survey. The response rate was 50 percent for both the young epileptics and the parents. Women are over-represented in the study and young epileptics are underrepresented in the metropolitan area. When possible, comparisons have been made to comparable groups of the Danish population. The distribution between sex and age suggests that the Danish Epilepsy Association has two types of young members: Some have been registered as members by their parents and are often under 20 years of age and some who have registered themselves and are often over 20 years of age. Although the young members'' condition is often not as severe as the adults'' they are more worried about the consequences of it.
