During a 2021 survey fielded among adults in 17 markets worldwide, gauging their perception of social media advertising, it was found that 48 percent of respondents from India thought social media ads were somewhat or very trustworthy; the same was true of 45 percent of consumers surveyed in the UAE. In comparison, 10 percent of respondents from the UK had the same opinion on social media advertising at that time.
