Light and vegetation percentage influenced by habitat

On october 19th and October 26th, 2015 an experiment measuring the percentage of vegetation and light between the two habitats of Danby grasslands and Danby woodlot had occured. The measurements were done with a one by one metre quadrat for vegetation and a one by one metre cardboard sheet for light. The hypothesis was that the vegetation levels within the woodlot would be lower then the grasslands because of the lower percentage of light from the coverage of trees. Each trial consisted of the measurement of light by the cardboard sheet which was layed over the quadrat, then the sheet was removed to measure the vegetation that was within the quadrat. Weather was cool, slightly windy and partly cloudy. Experiment was done with Dylan C., Felicia O., Richer L., and Alexis D.
