Innovation and ESG Commitments in China’s Corporate Landscape: A Comprehensive Analysis of Governance and Diversification Strategies

This data set presents the link between corporate ESG commitments and innovation tendencies in China, analyzing data from Bloomberg's database of over 5,102 companies. We investigate whether ESG commitments can indicate a company's inclination toward Innovation. Using a quantitative approach rooted in a positivist framework, we harness Bayesian Linear Regression and Neural Networks to identify patterns. Preliminary results show that companies with firm ESG commitments, particularly those emphasizing environmental actions, exhibit outstanding innovative capabilities.
