Proteobacteria Cas-associated transposase (CasTn) Tn-Seq

This study had the purpose of adapting the described Scytonemma hofmanni Cas-associated transposase (Strecker et al.) for broad-hoast range applications across Proteobacteria. The Cas-associated transposase provides programable site-specific transposon insertion in the cell through CRISPR-Cas RNA targeting. This entry contains the Tn-Seq data for three Proteobacteria used in this study for targeted insertion experiments; Agrobacterium fabrum C58, Burkholderia thailandensis E264, Pseudomonas putida KT2440. These bacteria were picked due to their relevance in the biotechnology industry for agricultural, industrial and biomedical purposes.
