Gynochthodes boninensis genome sequencing

Genome sequencing of Gynochthodes boninensis was performed by using Roche 454 reads. Total genomic DNA of Gynochthodes boninensis was extracted from fresh leaf collected from Hahajima Island (Sekimon; 26?40''59.1"N, 142?09''36.7"E), using the DNasy Plant Mini Kit. The extracted DNA was pyrosequenced using a 454 GS Junior System. Multiplex Identifier (MID) tags were used for multiplexing of this sample and another then both samples were mixed. Row data were demultiplexed and adapters and indexes removed from the reads using Newbler.
