Guava (Psidium guajava L.) is a climacteric fruit and in postharvest has an accelerated overripening. Several molecular biology tools have been used to analyze their ripening processes. In recent years, microRNAs (miRNAs) had been used to analyze gene expression during fruit ripening. In this work, two miRNA libraries were constructed, sequenced and analyzed from the breaker and mature stages of guava fruit media china cv. siglo XXI.
