Small and non-breaking surface waves and wave generated turbulence: Air-Sea Interaction Saltwater Tank (ASIST) data

Velocity and turbulence measurements were collected in March 2018 and November 2019 in the Air-Sea Interaction Saltwater Tank (ASIST) at the University of Miami. These data and related dataset R6.x806.000:0035 (doi: 10.7266/STH6HY6X) support the publication: Bogucki, D., Haus, B.K. and Barzegar, M., 2021. Is oceanic turbulence a lubricant for propagating non-breaking waves? Observations and parametrization of the turbulent energy dissipation beneath non-breaking waves. GRL (Revised). The dataset contains raw data (Vertical Microstructure Profiler – VMP - and current meter), MATLAB processing codes, and processed data. In particular, the microstructure data used to prepare figures for the paper to be submitted to the GRL for publication are included and examples of the VMP spectra. The VMP data were processed following the Rockland processing procedure. The code is included.
