This project performs a population genomic study of Streptococcus agalactiae to investigate the distribution and evolutionary dynamics of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) determinants. By leveraging large-scale comparative genomics, we aim to characterize recombination hotspots and assess the impact of horizontal genetic exchange on pathogen adaptation and the dissemination of resistance genes. This study provides high-resolution insights into the genomic evolution and diversification of Group B Streptococcus.
