ATM number in Belgium 2000-2023

Payments that don't use cash money have become increasingly important throughout the European Union, as is also the case for Belgium. This is represented in the total number of ATMs (automated teller machines) in Belgium from 2013 to 2023. Overall the number of ATMs decreased with some fluctuation during the period under observation from around 14.9 thousand in 2013 to approximately 4.7 thousand in 2023. In contrast, the number of POS terminals in Belgium has drastically risen between during the same period.

在欧洲联盟范围内，非现金支付手段的重要性日益凸显，比利时亦然。此现象可通过比利时2013年至2023年间自动柜员机（ATM）总数的变迁得以体现。总体来看，观察期内自动柜员机的数量呈现下降趋势，伴随一定的波动，从2013年的约14.9万台降至2023年的约4.7万台。与之形成鲜明对比的是，比利时在同一时期内销售点终端（POS）的数量则显著增加。
