Rotorua Lakes Surface Water Catchments - Nutrient Management

These catchments boundaries are based on the 2006 Lidar catchment boundaries however they have been modified to follow the Rotorua Groundwater Boundary where this boundary is not too different from the surface water boundary. The surface water catchment boundary has been slightly altered along the Lake Rotorua boundary except for the north west corner where the ground water catchment goes a long way outside the surface water boundary. As well as this the Lake Rotoiti catchment has been further divided to create the Ohau Wall catchment. This has been done because most of the water in this area flows directly down the Kaituna River and does not enter the lake proper. The catchment boundaries were generated for the area of the 2006 Rotorua LiDAR where this was inside the Bay of Plenty regional boundary. However some catchments on the edges of the area covered by the LiDAR are not complete. These catchments have been removed from this dataset. The catchments were created from a 2m DEM.
本数据集所采用的流域边界以2006年激光雷达(Lidar)流域边界为基准,但在该边界与地表水流域边界差异不大的区域,已调整为贴合罗托鲁瓦地下水流域边界。沿罗托鲁瓦湖边界的地表水流域边界已进行小幅修正,仅西北拐角区域除外——该区域内地下水流域范围远超地表水流域边界。此外,罗托伊蒂湖流域被进一步拆分以形成奥豪堤(Ohau Wall)流域,此举因该区域多数水流直接经凯蒂通河(Kaituna River)排泄,并未汇入罗托伊蒂湖本体。本次流域边界基于2006年罗托鲁瓦激光雷达数据生成,生成范围限定在丰盛湾(Bay of Plenty)行政区边界以内的区域。但激光雷达覆盖区域边缘的部分流域并不完整,此类流域已从本数据集中移除。所有流域边界均由2米分辨率数字高程模型(DEM)生成。
