The high-efficiency potassium-solubilizing bacterium NK851 was isolated from the Astragalus sinicus rhizosphere soil. 16S rDNA sequencing and cluster analysis showed that this strain belongs to Priestia megaterium. This bacterium could grow in the medium with potassium feldspar as the sole potassium source.
