To understand the role of nicotinamide phosphoribosyl transferase (NAMPT) in mammary gland, we generated mammary gland-specific Nampt knockout (cKO) mice by crossing floxed Nampt (flox) mice with WAP-cre transgenic mice. Whole mammary glands were dissected from female flox and cKO mice on day of lactation 8.
