T6SS

Automated analysis of type 6 secretion system battles with FAST. Contains data of P. aeruginosa fighting with either WT V. cholerae (WT_VC_1 and WT_VC_2) or a knock-out with an inactivated T6SS (KO_VC_1 and KO_VC_2). As well as the usual track data, segmentations and cell features extracted by FAST, this dataset includes some scripts to take advantage of some of FAST's more advanced capabilities: doubleFAST_Script indicates how batch processing can be used to process all four datasets at once. postProcessing_Script shows how the post-processing toolbox can be used to perform population assignment (species assignment) and event detection (detection of T6SS firing events) automatically. Within each of the sub-directories (KO_VC_1 etc.), the CellFeatures and CircleFitByPratt functions show how custom feature extraction can be scripted to extract cell curvature measurements. Original datasets are taken from the supplementary information files of 'The evolution of tit-for-tat in bacteria via the type VI secretion system', licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
