Journal Bibliometric Indicators

This dataset contains 11 bibliometric indicators of scientific journals indexed in the Economics, Econometrics and Finance subject area within Scopus/SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) for the period 2021 to 2025. A total of 1,340 journals were included across three knowledge categories: Economics and Econometrics, Finance, and Miscellaneous. The indicators covered are:

In addition, supplementary analyses are included to support further research on the volume characteristics and scientific performance of journals in the area at a global level, leveraging the broad coverage of the Scopus database and the reliability of the indicators calculated by SCImago. These are:
quartile_mobility_by_category.csv — Records the quartile of each journal in 2021 and 2025, the net change, and all associated SCImago subject categories.
category_cooccurrence_network.csv — Encodes the co-occurrence network by subject categories.
cluster_profiles_summary_statistics.csv — Contains summary statistics (mean, standard deviation, median) for each cluster profile.
SRG-network_topological_indicators.xlsx — Provides the computed topological indicators for each network node: degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and weighted degree.
SRG-journals_by_cluster.xlsx — Lists all journals with their cluster assignment and key bibliometric indicators: SJR, citations per document, and number of documents.
SRG-journals_by_community.xlsx — Lists all journals assigned to a thematic community.
