Discovering Groups of People in Images

We propose learning a set of discriminative interaction patterns to encode interpersonal relationships in 3D space, and introduce a novel and effective iterative enhancement algorithm to tackle this complex reasoning problem. A desirable byproduct of the proposed reasoning scheme is the approximate 3D layout estimation of structured groups within the scene. Finally, we present a highly challenging new dataset, where each image features multiple people engaging in a variety of activities. Extensive experimental evaluations validate our theoretical findings.
