## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. \n\n\n\nThe aspect surface is derived from the 1" DEM SRTM global elevation data set developed under the National Elevation Data Framework undertaken by GA, BoM, CSIRO and ANU (Gallant, et al., 2011). Aspect defines the angle in degrees from north, and is used to show topographic variability.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nAspect is derived using GIS software from the 1 second digital elevation model (Gippsland 1" Digital Elevation Model Clip GA- 1e74543b-d1ca-452a-ad09-53b2bc90b055).
