Multilocus Alignment and GenBank Accession Numbers Related to the Study "First Step on the Way to Identify Dermatophytes Using Odour Fingerprints" (Machová et al.)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains concatenated multilocus nucleotide sequences (ITS, tef1, tub2) used to infer the phylogenetic relationships among dermatophyte taxa in the context of volatile organic compound (VOC) profiling. The alignment includes 47 strains representing 15 dermatophyte taxa, including clinically relevant species. Phylogenetic analysis based on these sequences was conducted to explore the correlation between genetic relatedness and secondary metabolite (VOC) production. VOC spectra were obtained using solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) and comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC–TOFMS), enabling detection of both shared and taxon-specific VOC profiles. The concatenated alignment forms the basis of the phylogenetic tree presented in the study “First Step on the Way to Identify Dermatophytes Using Odour Fingerprints” (Machová et al.) and supports integration of genotypic and chemotypic data. The alignment is provided in FASTA format (ITS–tef1–tub2).
