资源简介:

This controlled mosaic of high-quality M3 data spans the lunar polar regions (80°–90° latitude) and was produced by rigorously filtering out image cubes with calibration and registration issues while prioritizing star tracker–operational observations for optimal spatial accuracy; any coverage gaps were filled using non–star tracker data. The M3 data in this mosaic were thermally corrected using the thermal model in "Li, S., & Milliken, R. E. (2016). An empirical thermal correction model for Moon Mineralogy Mapper data constrained by laboratory spectra and Diviner temperatures. Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets, 121(10), 2081-2107." The details about this mosaic can be found in this paper "S. Li, D. P. Moriarty, C. M. Pieters, R. L. Klima, and A. M. Dapremont (2025). A controlled mosaic of Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) reflectance data in the lunar polar regions for understanding the mineralogy and water of the Artemis exploration zone, Icarus". This mosaic used single pixels from individual M3 image cubes with NO averaging NO resampling for repeat observations. It is not appropriate to study PSRs where may need to average ~100 repeat observations to enhance the SNR (Li, S., Lucey, P. G., Milliken, R. E., Hayne, P. O., Fisher, E., Williams, J. P., ... & Elphic, R. C. (2018). Direct evidence of surface exposed water ice in the lunar polar regions. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 115(36), 8907-8912.).
