资源简介:

This research aimed to analyze the influence of different temperatures on pupal development until adult emergence of the cassava shoot fly. The study was carried out in the laboratory at three different constant temperatures: 10, 25, and 30°C. Significant differences were detected between the temperatures tested. The temperature of 25ºC proved to be ideal for pupal development and formation of viable adults, while low temperatures (10ºC) delayed development and resulted in a greater number of non-viable adults. Our results indicate that the population dynamics of the shoot fly is directly related to the temperature during the off-season period, that is, the colder the winter in the region, the smaller the fly population.
