Data and code for: Standardizing image-derived fish length-frequency distributions to reference measurements using bin-specific error matrices

This repository contains the datasets, simulation outputs and R scripts used to reproduce the analyses presented in: "Standardizing image-derived fish length-frequency distributions to reference measurements using bin-specific error matrices" Contents include: - processed length-frequency datasets derived from ICES DATRAS, NOAA MRIP, WCPFC and Reef Life Survey data;- simulation outputs used to evaluate the proposed standardization framework;- real-data analyses based on paired human-observer and AI-derived fish length measurements;- R scripts required to reproduce the simulation analyses, real-data analyses, figures and tables presented in the manuscript. The repository includes both intermediate datasets and final outputs to facilitate reproducibility without requiring users to rerun computationally intensive simulations. The image dataset used to train the AI model and the raw fish images used for AI inference are not publicly available. However, all processed datasets, AI-derived length measurements, simulation outputs and analysis scripts required to reproduce the reported results are included. This repository is currently under embargo during peer review and will be made publicly available upon acceptance of the manuscript.
