Her hair is dark and curly and is bound up above her brow by a tiara from which diaphanous cloth drapes in back. The short sleeves of her dress appear to be made from the same translucent material, with a filigree pattern at the hem. She wears a string of pearls around her neck. Picture file card lists the artist as "Elizabeth Labrun", while the signature on the portrait reads "Vigie -- le Brun". Painted 1802.
