Improving conservation outcomes for small inhabited islands

This thesis explored the complexities of conservation on inhabited islands to inform management practices by taking a case study approach complemented by a global study. The case studies assessed the conservation status of five island endemic bird species, and explored the impacts of invasive species behaviour on control efforts. The global study explored the use of community engagement by conservation professionals on inhabited islands.
