(12/2445-2446.1). 2 boxes (part). The Business Franchise Licences (Petroleum) Act was introduced in 1974. Under this Act persons involved in the sale of petroleum products were required to hold a licence and pay a fee. The Act was amended in 1975 to reduce fees, but due to its unpopularity amongst Service Station Operators, it was repealed in 1976. This series contains policy matters such as petrol discounting, amendments to legislation, form design, etc., and representations to the Minister requesting amendments to the Act from the Service Station Association and Motor Trader's Association.
