The goal of this study was to investigate the impact of biological soil crusts on the microbiome of the citrus rooting zone (1-5cm) in a citrus agroecosystem in Florida, USA. This research indicates that biocrusts in are influencing the soil microbiome below biocrusts when compared to nearby control soil that did not have biocrusts.
