资源简介:
The Pacific blue shrimp (Litopenaeus stylirostris) holds significant value in the global seafood market; however, the intensification of shrimp farming practices has precipitated an escalation in disease prevalence and a concomitant reduction in genetic diversity. The primary objective of this study was to establish a comprehensive genetic repository for the Pacific blue shrimp and to ascertain molecular markers conducive to the investigation of its genetic variability. Through a systematic examination of multiple tissue types, we identified a multitude of genetic markers, with a particular emphasis on those implicated in conferring resistance to diseases. Sub- sequent validation assays culminated in the identification of 40 robust markers deemed suitable for further genetic analyses. Evaluation of shrimp samples revealed a moderate degree of genetic diversity. Furthermore, the investigation yielded the identification of four markers with utility beyond the Pacific blue shrimp, facilitating research endeavors concerning other shrimp species. This seminal genetic resource holds considerable utility for breeding initiatives and underscores the imperative of instituting enhanced genetic management protocols to safeguard the viability of shrimp populations.
