Exploring Frailty Screening in Individuals with obesity: a Scoping Review

Scope review to comprehensively map the methods, techniques and instruments used in the screening and diagnosis of frailty syndrome in individuals with obesity. carried out in five databases (Pubmed, EBSCO, Web of Science, Embase and Scopus), in gray literature (Google Scholar) and from the references of the included studies. The selection of studies according to eligibility will be carried out by two independent researchers and a third researcher in case of disagreements. This process will be carried out in two sequential stages: analysis by title and abstract; and read in full. To this end, the Rayyan® software will be used (OUZZANI et al. 2016). Data extraction will be carried out using the EXCEL software and data will be extracted relating to the identification of articles (authors, year of publication, journal of publication,and country), study characteristics (objective, design, population and context), sample characteristics (sample size, sex, age, weight), characteristics of the frailty assessment (objective , context, assessment methodology, application methodology, materials, cutoff point), outcomes (prevalence of frailty) and results. The studies will be grouped by the type of evaluation methodology (method, technique or instrument) and the extracted data will be presented in a table and by group.
