In this study we reconstructed complete virus genomes by using RNA-seq and simultaneously separated potential contaminant viruses from those that actively infect the host and cause an RNAi response by using small RNA-seq in the Argentine ant (Linepithema humile), the invasive garden ant (Lasius neglectus) and the red ant (Myrmica rubra).
