We report EEG data recorded using the Qvar single-channel device positioned at F7, with a reference on the mastoid.To induce a state of sleep deprivation, participants were asked to sleep for a maximum of 4 hours the night before the acquisition session. Additionally, participants were instructed to abstain from any stimulant substances, such as coffee or cigarettes, for 24 hours prior to the session. The data acquisition sessions lasted at most 30 minutes always with eyes opened, during which the first 5 minutes were conducted with the light on, and the remaining minutes with the light off. During the acquisition, participants were seating in front of a monitor displaying a relaxing video, with a fixation point in the centre of the screen to minimize ocular movement artefacts. Throughout the 30-minute session, visual stimuli (coloured windows) appeared randomly on the monitor at intervals ranging from 1 to 10 seconds. Participants were instructed to respond to these stimuli by pressing a key on the keyboard. In our recording sessions, the measured reaction times were always shorter than 10 seconds. Reaction time values are also listed.
