Geochemical dataset of major element oxides analysed by the NASA Curiosity rover ChemCam instrument of the Bradbury Group, Murray formation and Stimson formation in Gale crater. These data were used to generate the constrained bulk rock compositions for the Bradbury Group, Murray formation and Stimson formation in Bedford et al. (2019; https://doi.org/10.1016/j.gca.2018.11.031) and Bedford (2019) thesis chapters 3, 4 & 5.This dataset includes all ChemCam observation point major element oxide data that analysed host rock from sol 14 to 2139. This dataset excludes ChemCam calibration targets, observation points that have targeted obvious alteration features, soils float and drill dumps. This dataset also does not contain analyses with total sum of oxides outside the range 95-105 wt% to reduce contamination from open system alteration features.
