The GIS dataset is showing the land use and land cover of Central Germany on a 500x500 m grid. Central Germany covers the area of the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The data is based on the Corine Land Cover (CLC) map, the German Soil Map BUEK, Natural protection areas of the BfN and statistics. For further information please see the metadata Excel sheet.
