Expression profiles of miR-23b and miR-23b in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with dermatomyositis and polymyositis

RNA was extracted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients and controls and TaqMan gene specific miRNA assays were used to quantify the expression levels of mature miR-23b and miR-23b* (miR23b star) molecules against controls (RNU44, RNU48, RNU6B, U47).
