Calpain mediated cleavage transforms the full-length junctophilin 2 (JP2) from a structural protein into a transcriptional regulator (JP2 N-terminal trancate - JP2NT). We used affymetrix Genechip to reveal the differentially expressed transcripts induced by overexpression of JP2NT and JP2 in adult cultured mouse cardiomyocytes. Adult mouse ventricle cardiomyocytes were isolated and cultured. JP2 and JP2NT were expressed in these cells via Adenovirus. Empty adenovirus infected cells were used as control.
