Supplementary Materials for Paper titled 'Beyond 1991 Liberalization: A 70-Year Econometric Assessment of Eastern India's Maritime Gateway'

A continuous, multi-decadal dataset (spanning across the financial years 1950-51 to 2019-20) obtained from the ‘Open Government Data (OGD) Platform, India’ official website. It is part of a data catalog made freely available on the portal by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India (TABLE No12 & TABLE No12A). Note: All data figures are in thousand tonnes. Two separate datasets: directional throughput (Overseas vs Coastal Traffic) and principle commodity-wise traffic (POL and POL Products, Fertiliser and Fertiliser Products, Iron Ore, Coal, Food Grains, Containers and Others), have been merged to form a single dataset for convenient analysis (TRAFFIC HANDLED 1950-2020). Note: All data figures are in thousand tonnes. HHI of every year along with the 5-Year Moving Average to determine Cargo Diversification & Resilience (ANNUAL HHI & 5-YEAR MOVING AVERAGE).
