Batteries for electric vehicles: Reuse and recycling.

Many raw materials for electric vehicles are limited and difficult to obtain. In addition, they are often obtained under socially and ecologically critical conditions. Reuse and recycling of e-vehicle batteries offer the opportunity to significantly reduce the demand for primary raw materials and thus increase their resource efficiency. The study provides an overview of technical potentials, hurdles and legal requirements for this. Applications for used batteries as stationary energy storage systems, for electrical infrastructure or mobile applications, from trucks to house robots, are analyzed. Battery recycling shows that up to 99% of raw materials and components can be recycled. Both options contribute to conserving and sustainably using resources for the expansion of electric mobility.
电动汽车所需的诸多原材料不仅储量有限、获取难度颇高,且其获取过程往往伴随社会与生态层面的严峻挑战。车用动力电池的复用与回收,可显著降低对原生原材料的需求,进而提升资源利用效率。本研究针对该领域的技术潜力、现存障碍及相关法律要求展开了全面综述。同时,研究分析了退役电动汽车动力电池在固定式储能系统、电力基础设施,以及从重型商用卡车到家用机器人等各类移动应用场景中的应用潜力。动力电池回收环节可实现最高99%的原材料与部件回收率。上述两种路径均有助于节约并可持续利用资源,为电动化出行的规模化扩张提供支撑。
