资源简介:
US Northeast Results contains the network metrics aggregated by census tract (GEOID) produced from our analyses. These results quantify both local (node-level) and global (tract-level) properties of the electric distribution network across the US Northeast, enabling comparative spatial and topological analysis. Node-Level Topological Indicators ({GEOID}_node_metrics.csv) Each {GEOID}_node_metrics.csv file contains node-level indicators that describe the structural role and connectivity of each network node within a census tract, including degree, centrality, and clustering measures. These metrics characterize the topological importance, accessibility, and local organization of nodes such as junctions, substations, or transformers. All variables are expressed numerically and help assess network efficiency, robustness, and flow dynamics at the local scale. GEOID: Census tract identifier. nodeID: Unique node identifier. degree: Number of connected edges. nodes_betweenness: Betweenness centrality. clustering_coefficient: Local clustering coefficient. closeness400: Local closeness centrality (radius = 50). closeness_global: Global closeness centrality. straightness_centrality: Straightness centrality. Census Tract-Level Metrics ({GEOID}_global_metrics.csv) Each {GEOID}_global_metrics.csv file contains aggregated metrics that summarize the structural complexity, connectivity, and spatial organization of the electric distribution network within a census tract. These global indicators integrate topological and spatial properties, including basic scale measures, connectivity, load statistics, and advanced descriptors such as assortativity, betweenness, closeness, straightness, entropy, and fractal dimension. Together, these variables provide a comprehensive characterization of the morphology, efficiency, and robustness of local grid structures. The data are designed to support spatial and statistical comparison with external demographic or socioeconomic indicators, though such variables are not included in this dataset. GEOID: Census tract identifier. number_edges: Total number of edges in the tract. number_nodes: Total number of nodes in the tract. total_node_degree: Sum of the number of edges per node. total_node_strength: Sum of weighted node strength (by hosting capacity). avg_node_degree: Average number of edges per node. avg_node_strength: Average weighted node strength (by hosting capacity). density: Graph density. density_of_intersections: Number of nodes per unit area. density_of_segments: Number of edges per unit area. assortativity: Average node degree assortativity. avg_shortest_path: Average shortest path length. avg_segment_length: Average segment length (meters). connectivity: Number of connected components. avg_intersection_connectivity: Average intersection connectivity. avg_nodes_betweenness_centrality: Average node betweenness centrality. avg_edges_betweenness_centrality: Average edge betweenness centrality. avg_global_closeness: Average global closeness centrality. avg_local_closeness: Average local closeness centrality. avg_straightness_centrality: Average straightness of node paths. entropy: Orientation entropy of edge directions. fractality: Estimated fractal dimension of the topology. Each file in this repository is provided in CSV format and can be joined with the census tract geometries using the GEOID field.
